Bit by bit, we’re getting the pieces of the puzzle of web design fed to us. Tons of choices when it comes to color, texture, and fonts…but fonts have more rules.
I’m not real clear on what those rules are yet, just beginning to find them out. I’d best use fonts that are ‘universal’ so I don’t run into trouble…kiss

The textures…oh so many…not so sure about the ‘grunge’ thing, don’t know if they’ll be appropriate with the page I have in mind…and oh yeah, I’m wavering on that too. I was planning on doing a web site of my step-daughter’s bow making deal she’s doing while she takes care of her two little girls (one is 4 years old, the other 1 year old), in her ‘spare’ time…what spare time? But this is beginning to be problematic…she doesn’t have many different styles of bows made yet…

I really need to come up with a better idea for a site, and I need to do it quickly! The world of color is so fascinating, temperatures, values, saturation, Color Theory 101, RGB, CMYK, monochromatic, analogous, complementary, split complementary, triadic, tetradic/double complementary, discordants…wow…I never knew so much went into color choices. I never studied art, but I do know what I like when I see it.

So many web sites with so much information…last weeks on texture, I had fun looking at all the different background possibilities. I also like this site: http://www.grsites.com/
There are a lot of backgrounds and you can make buttons, banners, etc. I’m still not sure what Dreamweaver can do; going to work more with it tomorrow. Had a nightmare trying to get it installed. First I had a bad disk; it was scratched, but there was a guy at the USF Computer store that was amazing…he got me a replacement copy overnighted. I installed it last week, but haven’t looked at it much yet…I need to watch some of the tutorials…the book’s explanation may help, but I haven’t tried it yet.

Onward we move…week 7 it is!
